This is a fun little exercise. Sometimes we have to play games with our minds to access our best wisdom and deepest thoughts. Over the weekend, think about what you would tell a recent high school or college graduate about the secrets to living a deeply satisfying, successful life. You may be able to write down a few ideas now but your best thinking will be done at odd times, like when you are in the shower, driving your car, gardening, running on the treadmill or going on a walk (after spending some time being mindful of your surroundings, of course!). Just let this question float around in your thoughts for the next couple of days and see what happens. Don’t worry about being judged. This is purely hypothetical. Just think, what would you want your eighteen-year-old self or your twenty-something self to know? What advice could carry a recent graduate through the next several decades? Or, if you were delivering a commencement speech, what would be your message?
I wrote earlier in the week about all of us having our own inner wisdom, and how beautiful that is. This is your chance to show your stuff! You may surprise yourself! You may look at your list come Monday and realize, Wow! Look at me! I do have a rich experience and wisdom worth sharing!
I will do this exercise, too, and I will list my advice on Monday’s post. I invite you to post your advice on Monday’s post, too. I am looking forward to comparing notes!
Be well and have a great weekend! Have a Happy Father’s Day!

That’s kind of a cool exercise. I’ll have to think about what I would say before reading your part 2.
Hi Ben, Thanks for reading this. I hope you do the exercise! It’s fun! I would love to know your advice and perspective when you get the chance!
